
Mark Steichen
Strength and Conditioning CoachMark Steichen is a strength and conditioning coach at Sanford Sports in Fargo, North Dakota. He started as a strength and conditioning intern in 2019 and was hired full-time in 2021.
Steichen earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from North Dakota State University. In 2020, he interned with the University of Colorado football team in their strength and conditioning department.
Steichen’s coaching style is centered on building a foundation of strength, mobility and injury prevention to empower athletes to reach their potential. He believes in individualized programming that emphasizes proper technique. His approach is rooted in education, ensuring athletes understand the why behind their training to foster their long-term development. Steichen prioritizes creating a supportive environment that promotes discipline and accountability.
He enjoys working at Sanford Sports because of the collaborative and innovative environment that promotes both personal and professional growth. He is inspired by the cutting-edge facilities and resources available to support athletes of all levels to achieve their goals.
Steichen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach.
