
Brandon Toothaker
Senior Strength and Conditioning CoachBrandon Toothaker is a senior high school and collegiate strength and conditioning coach. He started at Sanford Sports in 2012 and serves as the head strength and conditioning coach at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Toothaker earned his master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Beginning his career as a student intern with the Emporia State University track and field team, he later interned at Gattone Sports Performance in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. While attending UNI, he was a graduate assistant training the football, volleyball and women’s basketball teams. He spent one year as the head strength and conditioning coach for Waterloo West High School in Waterloo, Iowa.
Developing a positive and respectful relationship with each athlete is his foremost goal. Toothaker implements sound training practices into his coaching to help athletes reach their highest potential. He strives to learn each athlete’s reason for training and how best to motivate them as he explains the goal for every exercise in the program. He believes it is important for athletes to know that he cares about them and their success in his training program.
Toothaker enjoys working at Sanford Sports because he has the opportunity to positively impact athletes the same way he experienced through his high school strength program. He loves seeing the excitement from athletes as they improve and make progress through the strength and conditioning program.
