Matthew Strecker
High School Strength and Conditioning CoachMatthew Strecker is a high school strength and conditioning coach. He started with Sanford Sports in 2024.
Strecker’s coaching career began as an intern and assistant while playing football at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa. He then became a graduate assistant at the University of Mary. He has coached at Legacy High School since 2024.
Strecker prioritizes constant feedback and high-intensity, fast-tempo training sessions. He gives athletes freedom within the structure of each session to push themselves through every exercise safely and with proper execution.
He encourages athletes to interact with and coach each other, becoming friends and teammates while learning the exercises more fully through teaching.
Strecker enjoys working at Sanford Sports because of the opportunity to surround himself with like-minded coaches who push themselves and each other to be better. This provides an example for young athletes, leading them to become more well-rounded and achieve new heights. Sanford Sports also provides Strecker with the resources he needs to grow professionally.
Strecker is a three-time NAIA football national champion and member of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. He holds a master’s degree in kinesiology.
