Huether Family Match Pointe welcomes nation's top junior tennis players

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Huether Family Match Pointe, located on the Sanford Sports Complex, will welcome some of the nation's top 14-under and 16-under girls to Sioux Falls this weekend for the USTA National Level 3 – Sioux Falls Presented by Sanford Health.

This marks the fifth consecutive year Match Pointe has hosted the event, which will include 2021 South Dakota State Champion Avery Summers, who qualified in girls 16-under.

“This is always an exciting event to host in our facility as it attracts high-level players from all over the country,” said Match Pointe Executive Director and Tournament Director Mark Vellek. “I’m excited for Avery to have the opportunity to compete at this level and in her hometown nonetheless. I’m hoping the Sioux Falls tennis community comes out to support her.”

Summers’ first-round singles match will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The tournament is open to the public and all matches can be live-streamed at

A total of 174 players from around the country registered for the tournament with the top 32 girls in the country in each division that signed up receiving entry. A total of 25 states will be represented in the field.
