Long-time South Dakota coach Toby Bryant to lead softball academy at Sanford Sports

Sanford Sports is pleased to announce the hiring of Toby Bryant to lead the softball academy in Sioux Falls. Bryant has been a consistent presence in the softball community for more than 20 years and he’s looking forward to providing a positive and rewarding experience.

“We will demand hard work, discipline, a good attitude and yes, having fun,” Bryant said. “Our players will win and lose with grace, honor, and dignity and we will achieve a winning culture and climate.”

Bryant was a multi-sport athlete in both high school and college, where he was a member of the South Dakota State baseball team in 2001. Bryant also was a player for South Dakota USA Fastpitch softball from 2003-2007. His softball coaching career includes multiple state championships with Harrisburg High School and South Dakota USA’s 10U and 12U programs.

Bryant received his bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education & Recreation from South Dakota State University in 2002. He earned two master’s degrees from Northern State University: Teaching and Learning, Emphasis in Health, Physical Education and Coaching in 2003 and Secondary School Leadership and Administration in 2006.

Bryant was most recently the inaugural women’s wrestling coach at the University of Sioux Falls. He lives in Sioux Falls with his wife Amber and four daughters Tevan, Dessa, Autumn, and Hadley.
