SDVBCA All-Star Match coming to Pentagon

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Pentagon will host the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association All-Star Match at 3 p.m. on Dec. 8.

The all-star match features 24 seniors from across the state. Rosters will be announced later. Midco Sports Network will live stream the match online.

The SDVBCA consists of 182 members from 111 schools, and those numbers continue to grow. Volleyball is the second-most popular sport in the nation for high school girls, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations, with 452,808 participants in 2018-2019.

The Sanford Pentagon is involved with volleyball in many ways. It is home to the Sanford POWER Volleyball Academy and the Sanford Pentagon Volleyball Club. The Pentagon can accommodate as many as 11 volleyball courts at a time, and hosts high schools camp and tournaments, club tournaments and college matches, including the NCAA Division II national championships in 2016 and 2020.
