Sanford POWER Golf Academy names Matt Stricker full-time instructor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford POWER Golf Academy has named former University of North Dakota head men’s golf coach Matt Stricker a full-time golf instructor.

Stricker, joins Todd Kolb and Sam Vosler at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy, the most comprehensive golf program in the region.

“Matt is another perfect fit for the academy. He has proven success at many levels of coaching, teaching and playing,” said Kolb. “The academy is now an even stronger place to improve your golf game because of Matt’s addition to our team.”

Stricker served as the head men’s golf coach at the University of North Dakota for two years. Before he became a college coach, Stricker was the general manager at the Whispering Oaks Golf Club in Manvel, North Dakota. He was an assistant golf professional at King's Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Stricker is a graduate of the PGA of America professional golf management program and spent 15 years as an assistant golf professional. He also coached boys and girls high school golf in Montana and played collegiately at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

In addition to Kolb, Vosler and Stricker, the Sanford POWER Golf Academy features movement experts, strength and conditioning coaches and a sports dietitian.

Great Shots, a three-story golf entertainment facility located on the Sanford Sports Complex, will be the new home of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy when it opens in late November.
