SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford POWER Golf Academy, the most comprehensive golf program in the region, has hired former University of Sioux Falls director of golf Sam Vosler as a full-time golf instructor.

Vosler, who was previously a part-time lead instructor with the academy, joins Todd Kolb, the director of golf at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy.

“Sam has been instrumental in the success of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy, and we are thrilled to have him step into a larger role,” said Kolb. “He has an incredible passion for golf and will play a crucial role in helping golfers improve their skills and get more out of their game.”

Vosler, in addition to previously serving as one of the lead instructors at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy, spent three years coaching at the University of Sioux Falls where in 2018 he was promoted to director of the men’s and women’s golf programs. He also coached at the University of Colorado Springs-Colorado, co-managed an indoor golf training facility and worked with the Hank Haney International Golf Academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Vosler attended the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and graduated with a degree in PGA Golf Management/Service Management. He has been a PGA-certified instructor for five years and won the SCCC Pro-Am on the Dakotas Tour in 2009.

In addition to Kolb and Vosler, the Sanford POWER Golf Academy features movement experts, strength and conditioning coaches and a sports dietitian.

Great Shots, a three-story golf entertainment facility located on the Sanford Sports Complex, will be the new home of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy when it opens in late 2019.
