Field set for SDHSAA Class AA girls state tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The matchups and ticketing policies have been finalized for the 2021 South Dakota Girls “AA” State Basketball scheduled for March 11-13 at the Sanford Pentagon.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the Sanford Pentagon Box Office 45 minutes prior to each game. Single game tickets and 3-day passes are available for purchase. All sales will be cash only.

  • Ticket formats will be:
    • Three-game pass: $33 adults, $21 for students in 1st-12th
    • One-game pass: $11 adults, $7 for students in 1st-12th
    • Suites: $21 per person

Capacity restrictions are in place, and there will be limitations on the number of fans allowed in the Sanford Pentagon. All fans will be required to wear masks. Heritage Court Arena will be cleared and cleaned between games.

Games will be held at 12 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. all three days. The tournament will kick off with the state quarterfinals on March 11 and concludes with the title game at 8:15 p.m. March 13.

South Dakota Public Broadcasting will televise all games on SDPB-3 and stream games on sdpb.org.

Thursday, March 11

Quarterfinals:

No. 1 Sioux Falls Washington (17-2) vs. No. 9 Rapid City Central (11-9), 12 p.m.

No. 4 Sioux Falls O’Gorman (15-6) vs. No. 5 Mitchell (15-6), 2:45 p.m.

No. 2 Aberdeen Central (18-3) vs. No. 7 Brandon Valley (16-5), 5:30 p.m.

No. 3 Harrisburg (19-2) vs. No. 6 Rapid City Stevens (15-5), 8:15 p.m.

Friday, March 12

Consolation semifinals: 12 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Semifinals: 5:30 and 8:15 p.m.

Saturday, March 13

Seventh-place game, 12 p.m.

Fifth-place game: 2:45 p.m.

Third-place game: 5:30 p.m.

Championship game: 8:15 p.m.
